Today I would like to tell you guys about a very special person near and dear to my heart. I came into the TBF as a high school intern, eager to learn about marketing and social media. When I met Travis I could not help but to smile. He may have the most contagious smile I have ever seen. Travis has a great heart and is very involved with his family. I couldn't wish what the Burkhart's have been through to any family, although it is truly inspirational seeing how close it has brought them! Read below to meet some of the team that serves on the Travis Burkhart Foundation.

I currently work and have for the past 29 years with the Indiana Department of transportation."
"I have been a proud member of the Travis Burkhart Foundation for several years. One reason why I enjoy it so much is because my daughters were both born premature at the time of their birth there were no organizations or foundations that I could reach out to to help with the cost of gas and other expenses we endured during that time. I feel very privileged to serve on such a board that helps so many people in their time of need. I have been there and it touches my heart to be a part of such a great foundation that strives to help!"
Thank you for all of your help and support Megan Roark!
"I live in Washington, recently married Jonathan in May of this year. We have a 2 year old son, Corbin. Jonathan also has 15 year old twins (my stepchildren) Kaleb and Kalyn. Today I would like to acknowledge a great Board member and friend, Mike Burkhart. Going through a tough time like his family did, a by passer would have no clue. Mike always seems to be smiling, and holds a positive outlook!
"My name is Mike Burkhart I graduated from North Daviess in 1979. I married Kimberly Padgett in 1982 (which we just celebrated 35 years of marriage) we have 4 great children Ryan 34, Travis 32, Evan 28 and Jenae 26. I am self employed and over the years I have served on several Community organizations from School Board to Frank Roberts Youth league, coaching, and several farm organizations. The Travis Burkhart Foundation was started based upon Love your neighbor as yourself, after Trav's accident we were helped by so many gracious and loving people that it only seemed natural to give back to those in need in a time of serious nature in their family. Its been a pleasure to work beside some fine community minded individuals with the same goals in mind to help others. I'm so very proud of the accomplishments this Foundation has been able to achieve and I look forward to what can happen in the future."
As I am a student intern, Mike will continue to be a positive influence as well as a role-model like figure. Thank you for all you do Mike!
We have been blessed with a great group of board members who all volunteer their time and resources to increase the reach of this great cause. We would like you to meet these great people.

The opportunity presented itself to serve and TBF was something I wanted to be a part of. TBF is a valuable resource to our community and I feel blessed to be a part of the organization."
Thank you for being a great board member!
